SERVICES: Confidential Pregnancy Options Counseling
If you are pregnant, our client advocates can help you sort through your feelings and your options.
Even if a pregnancy was not in your plan for right now, there are many resources available to you to help make the best of the situation.
We can give you the information you need to make the right choice.
- Parenting: The thought of parenting before you planned may be overwhelming; those feelings are normal. Many people may not feel ready right away, but the good news is you have nine months to prepare. We offer emotional support to you as you get ready for unexpected parenthood, helping you plan for the future. If finances are a concern, there are programs we can refer you to for assistance with medical care, food, and other basic living expenses.
- Adoption: Did you know that you can plan for adoption throughout your pregnancy without needing to make a final decision until after the baby’s birth? Adoption lets you pursue your goals while giving your baby a great start in life. If you are interested in potentially making an adoption plan, we can discuss the option with you and refer you to agencies who will give you information without pressure.
- Abortion: We do not provide or refer for abortion, but we are committed to offering accurate and complete information about the types of procedures performed, things to consider before making this decision, and the physical and emotional effects that can result from the procedure. Some of the risks include: excessive bleeding, perforation (puncture) of the uterus or fallopian tubes, infection from an incomplete abortion (parts of the fetus are left in the uterus) which can go on to impact fertility, and emotional effects such as regret and sadness.¹
Whatever your situation, and whatever you decide, you are always welcome to return for continued support from your client advocate or our post-abortion counselor.
If you suspect you may be pregnant, make a confidential appointment with us for a pregnancy test at no cost to you.
